Race packs will be available for all team managers to collect at the following places/times:
Sunday 26th August – from National Park School Hall, Buddo Street (opposite the Police Station), in National Park Village. Available for collection from 3.30pm to 6pm Sunday.
Monday 27th August – from ‘The Den’ at Lorenz’s Café (side-room of Lorenz’s Café – beside the toilets!),
From 8.30am on Monday morning – Top of the Bruce, Whakapapa.
The race packs will contain: Instructions, competition passes ordered, race start orders, Course Assistant instruction booklet, Course details, Ski-X entry forms for those not already entered, Helmet numbers for competitors.
For your information – RAL Centennial Chair info update…
Unfortunately the Centennial chair is currently out of action, due to a ‘mechanical issue’! Repairs are not expected to be completed until early September, as RAL is currently waiting for materials from Australia.
This means that access to the upper mountain will be via the Rock-Garden Chair, so we are warning all to be patient and prepared for some delays.
The NIPS Organising Committee have arranged early chair access for COURSE ASSISTANTS only on race days – but they MUST be wearing the Course Assistant bib. NO Bib = No early chair access!
Course Assistants will have priority, followed by competitors with helmet numbers 1-50.
Full details of priority chair access will be confirmed at the Managers Meeting held at the Dept of Conservation Visitors Centre, Whakapapa at 5pm on Monday 27th August.
