Tongariro National Park Activities
The central plateau of the North Island was formed by huge volcanic upheavals over hundreds of thousands of years forming one of natures finest adventure playgrounds. From the Sacred Mountains of Ruapehu, Ngauruhoe and, Tongariro to the East, to the vast unspoiled wilderness of the Whanganui River to the West. The National Park region is a spectacular year-round destination, this area offers almost every outdoor activity imaginable. We have some wonderful walks in the National Park Area from 20 minutes to 8 hours of the famous Tongariro Crossing.
