If you are happy to self-cater, Adventure Lodge and Motel has range of affordable accommodation from fully self-contained one bedroom motel units with super King Size beds, family units, studio units to nice budget lodge rooms with shared facilities (double, twin or quad lodge rooms).
Bed and Breakfast is also an option available.
Adventure Lodge and Motel is in a quite location off the main highway in National Park Village. The World Heritage Tongariro National Park is to the east and the Whanganui National Park, to the west. We are located near the base of Mt Ruapehu, an ideal location for the Whakapapa or Turoa ski field.
In winter the mountains provide a huge playground for skiers and snowboarders at New Zealand's biggest ski resort, Whakapapa ski field on Mount Ruapehu. In the summer the area comes alive with trampers for the Tongariro Crossing, mountain bikers, canoeing, rock climbers, adventure seekers and walkers of the many volcanic hikes.
Get out into the wide open spaces and breath the air, a truly a magical refreshing place to spend time in winter or summer.
